Dr. Nicholas A. Carlisano

Dr. Nicholas A. Carlisano, Age 89, of Gibsonia, formerly of Shaler Twp., passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 30, 2018. Beloved husband of 64 years to Rose-Marie; loving father of Terry Michael Carlisano and Kelli Marie Pappas; proud grandfather of Stacie, Christie, Ryan, Matthew, and Daniel and one great-granddaughter; Dear brother of Grace (the late James) Trangle, Sister Mary Grace “Margie”, Sister Mary Nicholas “Carolyn”, and the late Jean (Frank) Pistoria, Rose (Albert) Panza, Anthony (Margaret), Theresa (Edward) Zimmerman, Mary Dolores, Joseph (Surviving Beverly) and Betty Lou (Surviving Joseph) Armstrong. Nick was a 1952 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh and a 1958 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh Dental School. He served in the Army during the Korean War from 1952-1954. He was a member and Secretary of the Etna Shaler Rotary and Served as President in 1959. He was also Rotary District #7300 Governor from 1987-1988. Nick retired in 1999 and moved to Myrtle Beach and served in the North Myrtle Beach Rotary before returning home to Pittsburgh in 2009. Friends will be received Friday from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 PM at the Bock Funeral Home, Ltd., 1500 Mt. Royal Blvd, Glenshaw, where a Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday at 10:30 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to a charity of your choice.
