Mark M. Cieply

Mark M. Cieply, Age 71, of Shaler Twp., passed away unexpectedly, on Wednesday, January 27, 2021. A lifelong Shaler Twp. resident, Mark was the son of the late Michael and Helen Cieply. Prior to his retirement, he had a long career with the Internal Revenue Service, most recently as a Revenue Officer. A skilled handyman, motorcyclist, and “Car guy”, he was a longtime member of the National Corvette Restorers Society. He is survived by his wife, Geraldine “Gerry” Cieply, daughter, Marissa Cieply of Orlando, FL, sisters, Christie (Scott) Southerland of Ross Twp., and Sylvia Cieply (Bill Swank) of Long Beach, CA; Stepchildren, Brandon Pollak of Squirrel Hill and Kimberly Pace of Basking Ridge, NJ; Niece Susan Swank of Long Beach, CA, and the late Sally Swank. He was devoted bonus grandfather to Oliver and Ada Pollak and Dean and Reid Pace. Funeral arrangements will be held privately. Arrangements made by the Bock Funeral Home, Ltd., Glenshaw.

Gerry, Marissa, Chris, Sylvia and all in Mark's family. Like you, I am shocked and saddened by Mark's sudden departure. I will forever remember the fun we had as kids all those years ago. You have my deepest sympathy at this trying time.

Sylvia and family, I am so sorry for your loss. Sylvia, my sister Anne Marie Grzybek went to school with you at St. Bonaventure. I remember you growing up. We lost Anne Marie 5 years ago. She was 58. I am making my email avaialed to you. I remember how she cared about you as a friend. Time separates people. Know that your brother and her fly together. oxoxox
