Steve was an avid football lover, and served as an official in the WPIAL for over 30 years.  He was recognized for his life-long dedication and achievements to the sport in western Pennsylvania by being inducted into the Minor League Pro Football Hall of Fame at the Heinz Sports History Center in 2011.  Steve was always an active civic leader in Etna and Shaler, serving as Etna Councilman for several years as well as President of the Shaler Area School District. He is remembered as a man of conviction, honesty, care and generosity for everyone he met. Per the family’s request, visitation will be privately held on Tuesday, July 28th at the Bock Funeral Home Ltd. Glenshaw.  A Funeral Mass will follow at All Saints Church in Etna and burial in Saint Mary’s Cemetery.  Due to ongoing COVID-19 restrictions, a memorial service will be held at a later date for everyone to honor and celebrate his life.   In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Michael J. Novosel Foundation c/o George Metz, Foundation Director, Novosel Foundation, 226 Dupont Drive, McDonald PA 15057.

The entire Jordan family offers our condolences to Lisa, Joe, Nick and family for the passing of Nick. He was a great man who brought passion and energy to everything he did. He was an incredibly hard worker who never complained or asked anyone to do more than he did. We appreciate all the great work he did for us over more than 20 years and we will miss him. We hope you all find peace in the memories of Nick and the life he lived so well. Greg
