Carole Ann Bosilovic

On Friday, December 8, 2023, Carole Ann Bosilovic (Cookie, Meme, Mrs. B, Mom), age 86, formerly of Aspinwall was called to meet our Heavenly Father. Carole was born in the Troy Hill neighborhood of Pittsburgh, PA, and attended St. Mary's High School in Sharpsburg. Carole was married to her high school sweetheart, Robert "Beaver" Bosilovic for 27 years. She was the mother of three loving children, Mary Jo Wastchak (Michael), Robert Bosilovic Jr. (Joanne), and Andrew Bosilovic (Trudy) as well as nine grandchildren, Carolyn Meenan (Justin), Michael Wastchak, Olivia Wastchak, Nick Wastchak, Elisa Cardosi (Joe), Robert Bosilovic III, Alexis Principe (Vince), Hayden Bosilovic and Truman Bosilovic. She is the great-grandmother of Jack, Nina, Victor and Christian Cardosi. Carole was preceded in death by her husband, Robert, her parents, John and Josephine Zuratovic, and her sister Joan Lasky (Jack). Carole received her associate's degree in early childhood development, worked as a preschool teacher at Aspinwall Presbyterian Church, and served as a teacher's aide at Fox Chapel School District. Carole positively affected the lives of countless students throughout her 30 year career as an educator. When she retired from teaching, Carol traveled extensively, visiting national parks and exploring countries like Egypt, Australia, New Zealand, and Croatia. She was an extremely devoted fan of the Pittsburgh Pirates, and maintained a passion for the outdoors throughout her entire life. "Mrs. B" served as a leader in the Girl Scouts of America where she was granted the Gold Award, the most prestigious award given by the Girl Scouts of America. Carole's family will miss her optimistic outlook on life, her eclectic and colorful collection of souvenirs, and her pleasant singing of Children's songs. She is loved and will be missed "A Bushel and a Peck". Friends will be received on Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Bock Funeral Home, Ltd., 1500 Mt. Royal Blvd., Glenshaw. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday at 10 AM in Christ the King Parish, St. Mary's Church: 210 Garnier Street, PGH 15215.
