Carole (Guilfoil) Nickel

Carole (Guilfoil) Nickel, Age 83, passed away on Thursday, June 18, 2026. Beloved wife of the late Richard A. Nickel Sr.; loving mother of Richard A. (Donna) of Texas, James P. (Karen) of Cranberry Twp., and Robert C. (Betsy) Nickel of Maryland; proud grandmother of Andrew, Mara (Sidney), Brian, Kevin, Benjamin (Savannah), Jackson, Daniel, Marguerite, and Molly Nickel; cherished great grandmother of Evelyn, Ada, and Madeline.

Carole had a distinguished career in nursing, receiving degrees from multiple educational programs, culminating in her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Pittsburgh becoming a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP). She concluded her career with the Veterans Administration at the Pittsburgh VA Medical Center, leading the VA Diabetes Clinic there.

Friends will be received on Thursday from 1:00 to 3:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Bock Funeral Home, Ltd., 1500 Mt. Royal Blvd., Glenshaw. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in Saints Martha and Mary Parish, St. Catherine of Sweden Church, Wildwood Road in Hampton, on Friday, June 26, at 11:00 AM.
