Dan Thomas

Dan A Thomas age 74, a lifelong residence of Dorseyville, PA passed away at Passavant hospital after a brief illness. He was born July 28 ,1952 and was the son of the late Norman ”Bud” and Marilyn Thomas. He remained in his family home throughout his life.

Dan enjoyed watching all sports especially Pittsburgh Penguin’s. He frequently shared “hockey talk” by discussing their recent games, trade deals and team information. He also enjoyed ice skating, boxing and long walks. He was a local history buff and had a perfect memory for people, places and dates.

Emmerling Ice Cream was a favorite place for him to visit enjoying burgers, ice cream and conversation with friends.

He is survived by his two sisters Wendy Zarozny of Florida and Jodie Schmidt of New Jersey.

Funeral arrangements are private. In lieu of flowers send memorial donations to Dorseyville Volunteer Fire Department, 100 Charles Street, Pittsburgh PA 15238.
