Daniel R. Exler

Daniel R. Exler, 57 years old, originally from Morningside & now Shaler, passed from this world on June 13, 2025 with family by his side. A proud military veteran, Dan loved this country & served it honorably. Dan was the son of Thomas E. (Gene) Exler, Jr and Mary (Kennelly) Exler, who are united with him again in Heaven. Married for 30 years, Dan is survived by his dear wife, Laurie (Wiehagen) Exler; his children Nicholas, Justin, & Gabrielle; his grandchildren, Briella, Theodore, Everlie, & Alora - their mother Kelsie (Dennis) Englert; his siblings Thomas E. III (Kathi), Michael (Kim), & Mary Beth (Joel) Wilder, his siblings-in-law Ruth (Robert) Gaus, Timothy (Michaela), Daniel (Susan), Francis, John (Theresa) Relihan, Carol (David) Szklarski, Kathleen (Frederick) Buse, Marie (James) Crumbacher, David (Lorraine), Joseph (Cathleen), William Wiehagen, Mary Ann (late James) Budd, Raymond (Elaine) Wiehagen, & the late Beth Mayger. Also survived by his Goddaughter, Allyson Wilder, uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins & friends.

Celebrate Dan's life with us on Sunday, June 22 from 1:00 to 8:00 pm at Bock Funeral Home and Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, June 23 at 11:00 am at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish, St. Mary of the Assumption Church. In lieu of flowers, the family is grateful for any donation towards future expenses.
