DENISE JOYCE SCHRAM, On December 19, 2023, age 65, of Glenshaw, Beloved daughter of the late Raymond S. Schram and Margaret M. Schram, Beloved sister of Donna Brevard, Diana Cole (Michael), and Doreen Tumminello (Tony). Beloved aunt to: Todd, Jade and Christian Cole (Jessica); Travis Brevard; and Tia and Nicole Tumminello. Denise grew up in Glenshaw and lived in the Pittsburgh area all her life. Denise graduated high school from Divine Providence Academy. She continued her education at LaRoche College and graduated with a BS degree in Business Administration. She then attended the Fashion Academy of Pittsburgh where she took first place in the Tailored Clothing Category. Denise began work in a clothing store in Squirrel Hill where she enjoyed designing clothes. She left the world of fashion to pursue a position in sales at Red Devil, Inc. where she developed accounts in the tri-state area. The balance of her sales career was spent at Delta Machinery, LePage's Inc., Greenbrier/Scentex and Jacob Enterprises. Denise moved into finance with a position as an independent agent for New York Life. She became a Financial Investment Specialist for PNC Bank having completed her Series 7 license investment training and later moved to Medallion Wealth Management as a Client Service Manager. Denise was a member of Saint Scholastica Church in Aspinwall where she served as a lector at Sunday Mass. In her free time, she volunteered as a rabbit foster at the local animal shelter. Among her hobbies, she spent many hours working online and at the Heinz History Center to create a detailed family history. She was an avid golfer, enjoyed riding her 10-speed bike. For many winters, she enjoyed cross-country skiing. Denise enjoyed designing and sewing clothes for herself and also created many gifts for family and friends. Her love of travel took her to many states and on a tour of several European countries. She enjoyed ocean cruising with her friends. She used her excellent talents in photography and scrap booking to create many beautiful photo albums of all her vacations and other activities. For many years she was a member of the Greater Pittsburgh Civil War Roundtable, and enjoyed many trips to Gettysburg. She especially enjoyed the ghost tours. For over thirty years, Denise participated in the annual Great Race Road Rally every spring. In 2011, she and her sister took first place  and together they designed two road rallies. Her favorite pastimes were shopping, dining out and loving her pet rabbits. The family would like to express special thanks to all the caregivers and nurses at The Haven at North Hills Senior Residence and Gateway Hospice for their warmth, care and dedication to Denise. Family and friends will be received on Friday 12/29 from 2:00 to 8:00 PM at The Bock Funeral Home, 1500 Mt Royal Blvd, Glenshaw, PA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 10 AM Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish, St. Mary of the Assumption Church. EVERYONE PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH. In lieu of flowers, Denise's family suggests donations be made to the animal shelter/rescue of your choice.
