Dominic J. Aluise

Dominic J. Aluise, of Pittsburgh, passed away on Friday, August 14, 2026.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Judith (Wateska) Aluise, and his sister, Josephine Balkovec.

Dominic was the loving father of Jill R. Smyers (the late Bart) and Jeana L. Aluise; proud and devoted grandfather of Matt, Morgan (Ryan), Mia (Sean), and Molly; and beloved brother of Shirley Toomey and James Aluise. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

Dominic cherished the time he spent with those he loved most. His family was his greatest source of pride and joy. In his final years, Dominic was lovingly cared for by his daughter Jeana, whose devotion and companionship brought him comfort and allowed them to share precious time together.

His love and presence will be remembered for years to come. Dominic will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched.

Private services will be held for family and close friends to gather in remembrance of Dominic, celebrate his life, and honor the love and memories he leaves behind.
