Dr. Joseph "Joe" K. Puthenpurayil

Dr. Joseph K. “Joe” Puthenpurayil, age 93, of Pittsburgh, originally of Kerala, India, passed away peacefully on September 19, 2025. Beloved husband of 55 years to Arlene (Swartz); loving father of Lisa (Steve) Myles, Kurian (Michelle), and Leslie (Rob) Purchase; proud papa of eight. Joe was a dedicated professor for Penn State where he taught Organic Chemistry, he was also a landlord, and an avid gardener. Friends will be received on Thursday from 9:00 to 10:00 AM at the Bock Funeral Home, Ltd., 1500 Mt. Royal Blvd., Glenshaw.
