Elton "Bugs" Ellsworth Taylor, 89, passed peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones in Gibsonia, PA on October 29, 2022. The son of the late Alvin M. Taylor and Thurza L. (Hopwood) Taylor, he was born November 23, 1932 in Ingram, PA. Elton was preceded in death by siblings John, LaVean, Adele, his first wife Marilyn (Pud) (Morrissey) Taylor, and son Tedd Taylor. He is survived by his wife, Victoria (O’Toole), sons Timothy (Marie) of Charleston, SC, Thomas (Tina) of Indiana Township, Todd (Ana) of Oakton, VA, daughter-in-law, Leslie Herron (Tedd) of Indiana Township and step-daughter Jill Maraden (Brian Hall) of Pittsburgh, PA. He is also survived by six grandchildren; Alexis, Erin and Spencer, Chelsea and Connor, Ian, and one great grandson, Owen. Elton graduated from Langley High School in Sheridan, PA. After graduation, he served in the United States Navy as a radio operator on the USS Yosemite and USS Arcadia based out of Connecticut. After his service in the Navy, Elton joined US Steel as a computer operator and worked there until his retirement in 1987. Elton had a love of music and participated in the choir at St. Joseph’s Church in O’hara Township, PA.  He was an active member of the St. Joseph’s community prior to moving to Gibsonia. Upon retirement he could be found doing home improvements and helping family members with their projects. Elton was an avid swimmer especially in retirement. A life-long Steelers fan, he would arrange his schedule to accommodate game day! The family would like to express its deepest gratitude to Good Samaritan Hospice for the care and dignity they provided to Elton.

Friends will be received on Friday from 3 to 8 PM at the Bock Funeral Home, Ltd., 1500 Mt. Royal Blvd., Glenshaw, where a Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday at 11 AM. Burial to follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Sharpsburg. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to be sent to Good Samaritan Hospice, www.concordialm.org/charitable-giving/
