Eveline Schott, 87, of Greensburg, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at the SECU Hospice of Brunswick, North Carolina. Evie was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. Born June 8, 1936, in Pittsburgh, Evie was the daughter of the late Samuel and Grace (Fitch) Klinvex. Evie spent 54 wonderful years married to her late husband, Robert (Buck) Schott. She was a graduate of Shaler High School class of 1954 and a registered nurse, having obtained her education at Pittsburgh Hospital in East Liberty. Evie was an active member of St. Vincent Basilica Parish, Latrobe. She enjoyed exercise, volunteering, playing cards and dominos, bowling, and talking with friends and family. She also enjoyed traveling with her husband, friends and family throughout the US and Europe, as well as cruising, bus, and even RV experiences. Evie is survived by her children: Pamela (Edward) Smith of Bolivia, NC, Thomas (Anni) of Valencia, PA, and Diane (Michael) McGuire of Bolivia, NC; six grandchildren, Christian Schott, Daniel Smith, Christine Smith, Stephen Schott, Liam McGuire, and Maxwell McGuire; and four great-grandchildren, Amelia Smith, Calvin Smith, Fynn Schott, and Nora Schott. She is survived by her sister, Rita Crump, and preceded in death by her siblings Mary Rose O'Connell, Samuel Klinvex, Grace Belansky, Geraldine Taylor, Daniel Klinvex, Lee Wellen, and Paul Klinvex. Family and friends will be received on Friday, May 31 from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM at the Bock Funeral Home, Ltd. 1500 Mt. Royal Blvd, Glenshaw. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, June 1, at 10 AM at St. Matthew Parish, St. Bonaventure Church, Glenshaw, PA. In lieu of flowers, please consider a tribute donation to the Alzheimer Association.
