Glen Douglas Reed

Age 72, of Glenshaw, It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Glen Doulas Reed. Glen was born on May 25, 1954. He is preceded in death by his parents, Albert F. Reed and Mollie (Lichy) Reed. He is survived by a brother Alan C. Reed and sister-in-law Marianne (Postava) Reed along with cousins, friends, and neighbors. After his graduations from Fox Chapel School District, he began his work career as a machinist by trade and worked until his retirement from Ferguson Fire. He had many interests, but one that was enjoyed from childhood on was being a member of 4H where his passion for being outdoors and with nature all started. He looked forward to spring when he could start seedlings and grow tomatoes in his garden. He enjoyed riding around on his tractor and cutting his grass. He had birdfeeders around his property and loved putting out seed and watching the birds and their brilliant colors. Glen also enjoyed reading books about small town history. In his retirement, he kept busy helping out his family and friends. Glen had a wonderful life. We love you so very much, rest in peace dear brother. Friends will be received on Thursday from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM at the Bock Funeral Home, Ltd., 1500 Mt. Royal Blvd., Glenshaw, where a Funeral Service will be held at 6:30 PM. Burial will be held privately by the family. Memorial donations may be sent to the American Heart Association OR the Audubon Society.
