Glenn R. Thiel

Glenn R. Thiel, age 77, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 13, 2023. Beloved husband of the late Lynn; stepfather of Debby (Matt) Rightmyer and step grandfather to Tony Laing; brother of Wayne (Valerie), Bernard (Karen), Donna (Richard) Miros, and Debby (George) Potonia; dear friends John and Linda Berggren; also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Glenn proudly served his country in the US Army. He graduated from Duquesne University and the University of Pittsburgh with his PhD. Glenn was a Professor at Robert Morris University for over 30 years. The family would like to thank the staff at Vincentian's Memory Lane and Transitions Hospice for their loving care. Friends will be received on Tuesday from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 PM at the Bock Funeral Home, Ltd., 1500 Mt. Royal Blvd., Glenshaw. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10 AM in St. Matthew Parish, St. Bonaventure Church. EVERYONE PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Animal Rescue League OR Vincentian Home.
