Helen M. Sonson

Helen M. (Plany) Sonson, age 89, of Wexford, formerly of Washington, PA, and Glenshaw, PA, passed peacefully and was reunited with her beloved husband on Monday, September 14, 2026. Beloved wife of the late Vincent; Loving stepmother of Venessa (Andy); Elizabeth (Jeff); Judy; Jeanette; Mary (Tom) and mother of Vincent; Helena (Scott). Proud grandma & mimi of ten grandchildren and cherished great grandmother of six great grandchidren; sister of Ann, Joe (Joanne), Fran (Frank), Katy, and the late Martha. 

Helen was a dedicated Registered Nurse, an avid volunteer at many churches where she attended daily mass, and a humble, faith-filled friend to all.

Family and Friends will be received on Friday from 2:00 to 5:00 and 6:30 to 8:30 PM at the Bock Funeral Home, Ltd., 1500 Mt. Royal Blvd., Glenshaw with a Parastas service being held at 7:00 PM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Andrew the Apostle Byzantine Catholic Church, Gibsonia on Saturday at 10:00 AM. EVERYONE PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Helen’s name to Mount Saint Macrina, 500 W. Main Street, Uniontown, PA.
