James J. Pavlick Jr.

James “Jim” Pavlick Jr., age 71, of Glenshaw, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family on August 6, 2026, after a short but courageous battle with cancer. Beloved husband of nearly 46 years to Carole (Henninger) Pavlick; loving father of Holly (Jayson) Stein and Jennifer (Douglas) Cordeiro; step-grandfather of Rickey and Noah Cordeiro; son of the late James Pavlick Sr. and Mildred (Thiel) Pavlick; dear brother of Gary (Lori) Pavlick, Gail (Gary) Weismann, and the late David Pavlick and Steven (Denise) Pavlick. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Jim left a lasting impression on everyone he met. He was a hardworking man, a devoted husband, and a loving father. He was known for his quick wit and his ability to brighten anyone’s day. He was the kind of person who would go out of his way to help anyone in need. Jim loved reminiscing about the good old days. He had an incredible memory and could recall dates, statistics, and stories from decades earlier with remarkable accuracy. He also loved capturing family memories with his video camera, leaving behind countless home videos that his family will treasure forever. A lifelong Pittsburgher, Jim had a deep love for all things Pittsburgh, especially the Steelers, Penguins, and Pirates. Some of his happiest moments were spent watching Pirates games with an ice-cold I.C. Light and a cat curled up on his lap. Jim was a dedicated employee at Glenshaw Glass, where he worked as a machine operator for 30 years until they closed. He later worked at Schwebel’s Bakery and Riverbend Foods. Jim will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered for his kindness, generosity, sense of humor, and unwavering love for his family. His laughter, stories, and love will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. Jim’s love for animals was evident throughout his life. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to your local animal shelter or rescue organization in his memory. Family and friends will be received on Monday, August 10, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Bock Funeral Home, Ltd. 1500 Mount Royal Blvd. Glenshaw.
