James P. "Big Jim" Ryan

James P. “Big Jim” Ryan Sr., age 86 of Shaler Twp. passed away on Friday August 14, 2026 at home. Preceded in death by the love of his life, wife of 64 years Mary Jane; his parents James F. and Sophie Ryan; sisters Cecelia Rita and Carol Ruth. He is survived by his sister Catherine Ryan, daughter Patricia (Tony) Martinelli, son James P. (Darlene) Ryan Jr. and daughter Kelly (Brian) Eckenrode; eight grandchildren James P. III, Shawn, Amanda, Amber, Shamus, Brianna, Brendan and Tristan and four great-grandchildren Livia, James P. IV, C.J. and Maddie. Friends will be received Sunday from 2:00 to 7:00 PM at the Bock Funeral Home, Ltd. 1500 Mount Royal Blvd. Glenshaw. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday at 10:00 AM at All Saints Church, St. Matthews Parish Etna PA. (EVERYONE PLEASE MEET AT THE CHURCH) Interment will be held at Allegheny County Memorial Park, McCandless.
