Jill Schmidt Klinefelter, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, September 18, 2026. Beloved wife of Thomas Klinefelter; devoted and proud mother of Terry Maurey Jr. and Tad Maurey; she is survived by Tom’s children Kathy (Ed) Higgins and Walt (Suzanne) Klinefelter; dear sister of Jack (Cheryl) Schmidt; Jill was also a dedicated aunt and friend to many. Jill’s two sons were her world, and she cherished every moment she shared with them. She deeply loved her husband, Tom, and together they created a life filled with love, adventure, and wonderful memories. They loved traveling the country in their RV, discovering new places and making memories along the way. She especially treasured her vacations to the beach and Seven Springs Mountain Resort with family. Music was an especially important part of her life. She was a music major and a truly gifted singer. For more than 50 years, she shared that gift as a member of the choir at Parkwood Church where her church family became an important and treasured part of her life. She once performed for Jackie Gleason and his friends at his home in South Florida. She also had a deep appreciation for the arts and loved attending symphonies, the orchestra, musicals, and the opera. She was an avid golfer and enjoyed watching all kinds of movies and sports including the Steeler, Penguins, and Tad’s Indiana Hoosiers. She was a fantastic cook herself and delighted in the time she spent in the kitchen. She appreciated fine wines, especially champagne, and always looked forward to opportunities to gather with family and friends around a good meal. Her love for dogs, especially her beloved Saint Bernards, was unmistakable. Above all, she loved deeply and lived fully. Her warmth, laughter, music, and love for her family will remain in the hearts of all who knew her. Friends will be received on Sunday from 2:00 to 7:00 PM at the Bock Funeral Home, Ltd., 1500 Mt. Royal Blvd., Glenshaw. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday at 11:00 AM in Parkwood Presbyterian Church, Allison Park. EVERYONE PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jill's memory to Parkwood Presbyterian Church.
