John "Jack" T. Hall Jr.

John “Jack” Hall, age 88 of Shaler passed away on Sunday, March 10, 2024. Son of the late John (Wilma Davis) Hall; beloved husband of the late Mary Jane (Deeds) Hall; loving father of Thomas (Amy) Hall and Donna (Reigel) Fetterman; proud grandfather of Dana Dulacy, Amber Hall and Jacob (Kirsten) Hall; great-grandfather of Isbella Humes and Dutchess Meggett; Dear brother of the late William “Bill” Hall; loving companion of Shirley Frazier. Jack was a proud United States Army Veteran. He was a dedicated mechanic for the United Parcel Service where he worked for twenty-seven years and received an award for 864 days of no road calls for truck breakdowns. Jack was a proud member of the Avalon Masonic Lodge and received his fifty-year pin in 2020. He was also heavily involved in the Syria Shrine. In 1974 he helped found the Syria Shrine Motor Corps, Harley Unit who raised money for the Shriners Children’s Hospitals in Erie and Cincinnati where he provided many volunteer hours driving patient shuttles to these hospitals. Jack was an avid Motorcycle rider and was recognized as a “Legend in Motorcycling” by the Keystone Motorcycle Press. He traveled the United States by motorcycle, owned more than one hundred bikes, built dozens of choppers and ran a few parts stores. Most would recognize Hall's Motorcycle Parts and Accessories which was located on Route 8. While most people knew him from the motorcycle community, many may not know how creative and artistic he was. He spent a lot of time crafting beautiful wood carvings and painting statues, with his most prized statues being the Eagles he displayed outside of his home. Jack has said numerous times that he lived a great life. Friends will be received Thursday from 2:00 to 8:00 PM at the Bock Funeral Home, Ltd. 1500 Mount Royal Blvd. Glenshaw, where a funeral service will be held on Friday at 11:00 AM. Avalon Lodge # 657 F & AM service will be held on Thursday at 7:30 PM. In lieu of flowers please send donations to Shriners Children’s Erie, PA at LovetotheRescue.org
