Joseph J. Kaib, age 88, of McCandless Twp., formerly of Spring Hill and Shaler Twp., passed away on Monday, May 11, 2026. Beloved husband of 45 years to Marianne (Olliffe) Kaib; dear brother of Mildred (the late Lawrence) Kozar and the late Charles; uncle of Janet (DuWayne) Astle and Linda (Tom) DuPlessis, and their children: Melinda Gaus, Matthew (Amy) and their children Rory and Mayla, Michael and Lauren DuPlessis; also survived by brother-in-law Patrick (the late Trish) Olliffe and the late Ellen (Jim) Shanley, and their children: Patrick (Mary) Olliffe Jr., Keri (Fred) Gutknecht, Joseph (Michelle) Shanley, Christopher (Heather) Shanley, and Meghan (Brian) Bolsinger, and their children: Ruby Olliffe, Hannah, Tyler, Emma, and Mia Shanley, Delaney and Griffin Shanley, and Liam and Logan Bolsinger; son of the late Charles and Mildred (Bronner) Kaib; cherished grandson of the late Joseph Bronner. Joe was a proud graduate of North Catholic High School, class of 1955. He was incredibly active, finding enjoyment in ice skating, skiing, and biking. He has also been a lifelong traveler, something he and his wife were able to share together. He was a devout Catholic, an usher, and marriage preparation counselor at All Saints Church. The family would like to give a special thank you to the staff at Vincentian Home Memory Care and Bridges Hospice for their loving and compassionate care and to his friend Ron Briskey for his unwavering friendship throughout the years. Friends will be received on Thursday from 3:00 to 7:00 PM at the Bock Funeral Home, Ltd., 1500 Mt. Royal Blvd., Glenshaw. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday at 12:30 PM in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish, St. Teresa of Avila Church, Ross Twp.
