Joseph F. Venturella, of Shaler Twp., passed away peacefully on March 28, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.
Joe shared 68 years of marriage with his cherished wife, Marion Trozzo "Sis" Venturella. He was a wonderful father to Debbie (Nick) Ciccotelli, Joe (Mary) Venturella, Leslie (Pat) Maione, and Anita (Sean) Frank. He was the cherished grandfather of Jason (Lena) Venturella, Jana Stahl (Justin Meyers), Eva Marie (Andrew) Anderson, Matthew (Adrianna) Maione, Erika (Jonathan) Yigdall, Nina (Robert) Fraino, Nick (Czarmaine) Ciccotelli, Nicole Frank, Angela (Brandon) Franks, and Jessica (Sean) Brkovich. He was the proud great- grandfather of 16 great-grandchildren. Stella, Jack, Henry, Nico, Anthony, Brianna, Rocco, Jolena, Sofia, Olivia, Alaina, Spencer, Hazel, Cameron, Luka, and Noah (and 3 on the way).
He was the heart of the family. Always present with love, support and a quiet strength that touched everyone he knew. He found great joy in long drives, family vacations to Wildwood, NJ, fishing, riding his bicycle, and attending antique auto shows. He also enjoyed playing cards and board games with his great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Dorothy (Funaiock) Venturella, brother James J. Venturella, Sr and sister Judith Wisniewski.
Joe will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Friends will be received on Tuesday March 31, from 2:00 – 8:00 PM at Bock Funeral Home, Ltd., 1500 Mt. Royal Blvd. Glenshaw, PA. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday at 12 Noon at Christ the King Parish in Madonna of Jerusalem Church, 220 9th Street Sharpsburg, PA 15215. Interment in St. Mary Cemetery on Sharps Hill.
