Madeline C. (Bechtold) Greiner, age 84, of Shaler Township, passed away on March 26, 2026. Madeline was passionately dedicated to family and home. She loved to tell the stories of the past, especially that of Shalercrest, where her family were original home owners upon its incorporation and where she grew up and spent all of her life. Madeline's stories to the younger generations, gave them a strong and vivid sense of time, place, memories and history. Madeline had a great devotion to the outdoors. She was passionate about summer camping trips with her family, where they could enjoy nature together. Her love for nature and the uniqueness of her creative spirit, which inspired her children to explore their own creative pursuits, led her to create a wondrous "magical garden" in her own yard. She has now gone to join all those that she had loved for so long in memory.
Madeline is survived by her beloved husband of 60 years, Regis W. Greiner; her loving children; John R. (Carrie) Greiner, Mary M. (Christopher) Westlund, Ann M. (Christopher) Hutchins, and Teresa L. (Bradley) Moser; her granddaughter who brought her so much joy, Zuzu F. Moser; and her dear brother Patrick Bechtold.
Madeline's love and creative spirit will be sorely missed, but the memory of her will be held precious and cherished by all who treasured knowing her.
