Mary was born Mary Eleanor Reidy on May 19, 1922 to John Francis and Agnes Reidy in Chicago, Illinois. She had an older stepbrother, William and was the couple’s only daughter. Mary met her husband, Jim, while working for Freyn Engineering in Chicago. They married in 1952 and raised four children, Jim, Mary Jane, Bill and Chris in the suburban Pittsburgh area. Mary was an exceptional wife and mother, and her greatest love was her family. All of her children were so very proud to call her mom. Mary had a heart of gold and would always go above and beyond to be there for her neighbors and friends. A devout Catholic her entire life, she taught kindness, caring, and empathy through her example. Her 101 years of life centered on being a good person who could help others. An extraordinary wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, she will be truly missed. Mary was a blessing to all who knew her! Mary was preceded in death by her husband James (2008) and is survived by her children James, Mary Jane (John) Butler, William (Heather) and Christine (Richard) Graham, grandchildren Brendan (Lisa) Van Ackeren, Trevor (Quin) Conde, Taylor (Anthony) Marino, Brett Graham, Jack Butler, Brooke (Andrew) White, and Courtney Graham, great-grandchildren Jordyn and Jace VanAckeren, and McKenna and Kent Marino. A private family viewing will be held at Bock Funeral Home, 1500. Mt. Royal Blvd,, Glenshaw, PA 15116. A funeral mass will be held at St. Ursula Church -- Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish 3937 Kirk Ave. Allison Park PA 15101 on Tuesday, September 5, 2023 at 10:00 a.m.
