Mildred J. Becker

Mildred Johnston “Millie” Becker, 88, of Gibsonia, in the loving arms of her family. Dearest beloved wife and best friend for 60 years (1957) to adoring husband Michael J. (Mike) Becker until his passing in 2017. Devoted mother of Mark (Carol) of Gibsonia, PA; Matt (Patti) of Spraggs, PA; Michelle (Matt) Fiehrer of Hampton; and Martin (Robin) of Santa Cruz, CA. Most loving “MeMa” to Michael, Madison and Max Fiehrer; Martin Wolfgang and Maximilian Bear Becker; Matthew and Mikaila Becker and Allyssa Raling. She was preceded in death by her oldest son Michael Andrew (1961), her parents Thomas and Gladys Johnston Becker of Manchester, and her siblings Tim, Ray, Gladys (Maly), Kay (Santa) and Butch. Millie was a graduate of Oliver High School. She lived and raised her family in the Shaler home husband Mike built in 1962 until 2019. They proudly graduated their 4 children from Shaler High School and Penn State University. Her very active 25 years in retirement were spent with Mike touring the US and Canada on their Harley Davidson and Corvette; cruising and traveling the world on marvelous vacations, wintering at their beach home in Ocean Ridge, FL; and watching thousands of sporting events and other activities of her beloved grandkids. Millie recognized she was blessed with a special life filled with opportunities to live, explore and love that were never expected or taken for granted. She was everyone’s ‘Second Mom’ and never missed a chance to share her elder wisdom. An engaging woman with a youthful spirit, great sense of humor and ability to befriend everyone she met, Millie will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Services will be held at Bock Funeral Home, 1500 Mt. Royal Blvd, Glenshaw, on Tuesday, June 18, 2-8pm; with funeral mass to be served on Wednesday, June 19, 11am at St. Bonaventure Church, 2001 Mt. Royal Blvd, Glenshaw.
