Sarah JoAnn Montgomery

JoAnn Montgomery, age 97, of Fox Chapel, went home to be with the Lord on Monday July 27, 2026. She was born on March 9, 1929 in DuBois, PA to the late Theodore and Bertha (Barnes) Palmquist. She married James Montgomery on November 23rd, 1950 in DuBois, and they were married for 69 years until his passing in 2019. She was the loving mother of Mark (Karen) Montgomery; proud grandmother of Kristen (Jonathan) Heisey of Pittsburgh, Rhonda (Isaac) Weideman of Wisconsin, Michelle Montgomery of Pittsburgh, Marissa (Grant) O’Bryon of Wisconsin, and Joel Montgomery of Indiana; and the caring great-grandmother of Cory and Marci Heisey, Emery, Konrad, and Casper Weideman, and Ennaly, Lilia, and Jack O’Bryon. She has been reunited in Heaven with her parents, her husband, her sister Theo Baldauf, and has met her grandson Andrew for the first time. JoAnn was a Charter Member of the Ambassador Baptist Church, Ross Twp.  Friends will be received on Thursday, August 13 from 4:00-6:00 PM, and on Friday, August 14 from 10:00-11:00 AM at the Bock Funeral Home, Ltd., 1500 Mt. Royal Blvd., Glenshaw, where a Funeral Service will be held on Friday, August 14 at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
