Sondra Elizabeth Schwartz

Sondra Elizabeth Schwartz, fondly known as Sondy, peacefully passed away at her family homestead surrounded by family on the morning of Thursday, August 7, 2025. A Pittsburgh native, she arrived in this world on January 20, 1946. Her parents proceeded her in death Betty (Hanlon) and Howard S. Auld, Sr. She is survived by her siblings: Howard S. Auld, Jr., Judith Kantor, and Jeffrey Auld; her 2 children: Ashley Schwartz and Paul Schwartz; and her trusty feline companion, Jezzabella Maria. Sondra was a highly regarded elementary school teacher at Reserve Elementary of Shaler School district. Sondra attended Indiana University of Pennsylvania and taught 4th graders for nearly 40 years. Sondra is best known for her charisma, laughter, and style. Her smile and vibrant aura were tangible and tactile. She was a force of positivity and love. A service will commence on Saturday, August 16, 2025 at the Parkwood Presbyterian Church from 12:00 to 2:00 PM, an hour and a half visitation prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to Tunnel to Towers Foundation, Wounded Warrior Project, or to a charity of your choice. Arrangements made by the Bock Funeral Home, Ltd., Glenshaw.
