William J. Nethen

At 91, On Monday, June 10, 2024, the Nethen family and Eileen Scilufo suffered the earthly loss of their dad, Big Bill Nethen/Big Papap! He was a wonderful son, brother, father, grandfather, and father-in-law. He was successful at many things during his 91 years. He was a short-order cook, but found his niche in life as a Prudential Insurance Agent. He enjoyed basketball, softball, tennis, and fishing. He is reunited with his mom, dad, sisters Pidgie and Brenda, and so many other friends, teammates, and family! He is survived by siblings Patricia Geraci and Joseph Nethen; children Mary Kay (Steve) Knechtel, Bill (Janet), Rick, Bob, Barbara, and Trisha Nethen; 8 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Big Bill will live in their hearts forever. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, June 22, 2024, at 10:30 AM in Elfinwild Presbyterian Church followed by a luncheon.
