Missy was once a babysitter for our girls and afterwards lived with us to finish out her senior year of high school. She & I exchanged Christmas cards afterwards and stayed in touch through Facebook. She was a very fine young woman and will be truly missed. Our condolences to the Ravas and Bender families. Will keep you in our prayers.

Mrs. Ravas was a very sweet teacher with a kind heart and a passion for her career. She was an involved member of the community and respected others. She believed in safety. She was someone who deserves much respect and compassion, and my heart reaches out to her family.

Melissa was a wonderful teacher and mentor. Having her as a teacher was a gift for my sons, Jamin and Jonah. She was always available to tutor my daughter Jenna whenever she needed help. When I worked at the high school, she was always willing to offer a word of encouragement or guidance. I will never forget her kindness.
Jonah is a student in her class this year, and he is heartbroken by her loss. This is a true testament to how wonderful she was as a person. We are praying for peace and healing for her husband, sons, and family.

I’m writing on behalf of the Carlson family from Troy, Ohio, where we knew Missy in her youth as our most favorite babysitter whom we always remember and will care for. We are very sorry to hear she’s gone at her young age. Please accept our condolences. She touched so many people’s lives in a positive way, and therefore influenced the world in becoming a better place, and that’s a lot to feel proud about. We loved Missy- God bless her. 🙂
