Sciullo, Antonetta “Annette” After 96 years of life, Antonetta Sciullo, the beloved wife and sweetheart of the late Godfrey “Goldie” Sciullo died on March 25, 2020. She was the treasured mother of Linda (James) Bytnar and Robert (Jessica Huddart) Sciullo. She was the cherished grandmother of David Bytnar, Jacqueline (Jeffrey) Kirk, Nicole Sciullo, Troy Sciullo and Evan (Rachel) Sciullo. Antonetta was preceded in death by her parents, Michele and Elisabetta (Rossi) Porreca, her sister Clara Porreca, her brothers Antonio and Michele Porreca, and her infant granddaughter Adrienne Bytnar. She is survived by one sister Anna Porreca. Antonetta lived through both hard and happy times.  She inspired others to live their lives well and remained active into her 90’s participating in exercise class twice a week until she was 94. She leaves 2 generations of nieces and nephews who loved her immensely. Annette was the devoted homemaker of an extended family who will miss her thoughtful guidance and many kindnesses. She touched many lives through the years with her strength and quiet influence. Beverly Anton, age 84, died Sunday, March 22, 2020, at home.                                                                                                                                                                                       There will be no public services.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                           Bev was born April 17, 1935, in Pittsburgh, where, except for a couple years in Anchorage, she lived her entire life.  Raising four boys would have been plenty of work for any average woman, but Bev accomplished much outside the home as well.  The bulk of her first career was spent as a tipstaff in the Allegheny County court system, and later a legal secretary for decades.  In recent years, until the age of 80, Bev thrived in the retail arena, using her vast people skills working for a large local ski shop and a major department store. Bev was tenacious, and embraced new technology at every turn.  She fiercely protected and provided for her four sons, and lovingly welcomed their spouses into the family, and enjoyed beyond measure her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Bev was preceded in death by her son, Mark (surviving Julie) Shreckengast, of Palos Verdes Estates, CA. She is survived by her husband, Richard Anton, and sons Randy (Diane) Shreckengast, State College, PA; Keith (Mary Anne) Shreckengast, Volant, PA; and Scott (Julie) Shreckengast, Edenton, NC.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                          Contributions can be made to Pittsburgh Parkinson Foundation. Read More...

David W. Rowe, 66, of Glenshaw, passed away March 20, 2020 at Seneca Place, Verona. David was born August 14, 1953 in Pittsburgh and lived most of his life in Glenshaw. He graduated from Shaler High School in 1973, where many friends called him "Elfie". David was the son of the late William and Violet Rowe. In his younger years, David worked at Scotties Diner on Rt. 8 in Glenshaw, and then at Macy’s, in the stock room (previously Kaufmann’s Department Store). He also retired from the Army Reserves. David is survived by two sisters, Connie Rowe, of Wauchula, FL, and Barbara Blakeslee and her husband Gene, of Berwick, PA; a niece, Bethany Slonaker of Bloomsburg, PA; a nephew, Matthew Blakeslee, of Carlisle, PA; and two grand nieces, Lillian and Delaney.  Memorial donations may be made to Glenshaw Valley Presbyterian Church, 1520 Butler Plank Rd, Glenshaw, PA 15116. Patricia (Pat) Agnes Sanderson passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 18, 2020. Patricia is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Richard Sanderson; They were married on August 3, 1957. Patricia is lovingly remembered by her children Cheryl (the late, Stephen) Pool, Diane Sanderson (Stephen), Nancy (Timothy) Miller, and Richard Sanderson; brothers George (Ann) Wolfgang and Stephen Wolfgang; grandchildren Jessica Sanderson, Timothy (Shawna) Miller, Stephanie Pool (Leo), Sean (Erin) Miller and Richard Miller (Val); great-grandchildren Shane Ford, Luke Miller and Lakeson Davis. Patricia was born in New Bethlehem, PA on February 17, 1936. She graduated from Sto-Rox High School. She went on to earn a Degree from West Penn School of Nursing. Patricia was also a dedicated and caring nurse at West Penn Hospital for many years. Patricia was a long time member of Elfinwild Presbyterian Church. Patricia was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will always be remembered for her selfless nature and kindness to all. She will be deeply missed.
